PM greets Kazakh envoy, calls for result-oriented ties

Viet Nam wanted to develop its friendship with Kazakhstan and result-oriented co-operation in various fields, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday.
The PM was speaking at a welcome for new Kazakh Ambassador to Viet Nam Beketzhan Zhumakhanov.
Dung said he expected the ambassador would work closely with Vietnamese agencies to accelerate partnership in economics, trade, and tourism.
The leader suggested both sides support each other at international forums and speed up negotiations for a free-trade agreement between Viet Nam and the Customs Union of Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan.
Zhumakhanov asked businesses from both sides to explore partnership and investment opportunities, proposing the organisation of a business forum for Kazakh companies in Viet Nam to seek deals on tourism, hotel services and the apparel industry.
