Education centres that allow parents and students to park for long periods during peak traffic hours will lose their licenses, the HCM City's Department of Education and Training has decided.

Many education centres during peak hours allow students to gather in large groups in front of schools to wait for pick-up by parents.
Parents often park their vehicles on the street while waiting for their children, worsening traffic flow.
The department said it would work with other agencies and ask education centres to move their gates and fences on their property to give room to parents' vehicles.
A student pick-up bus top area is another proposal by the city.
Irrigation systems need to be improved in front of education centres as well to prevent floods, the department said.
At locations with high traffic volume, education centres have been asked to coordinate schedules to prevent traffic congestion during rush hours.
This would entail changing class schedules by five to 15 minutes.
The city's Department of Transport said that more than 35 serious congestion spots existed at education centres
