Local and foreign enterprises in HCM City need to fill 75,000 jobs during the second quarter, an increase in labour demand of 10 per cent over the same period last year, according to a report from the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
In the first quarter, 37,415 job vacancies were filled, according to a survey of 3,926 enterprises conducted by the Centre of Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labour Market Information in HCM City.

Recruitment demand will be 20,000 in April, 25,000 in May and 30,000 in June, the survey found.
Demand for unskilled labourers stands at 35 per cent, for workers with primary and secondary education 38 per cent and for college and postgraduates 27 per cent.
Industries with high recruitment demand include sales, services, IT, marketing, real estate, textiles and leather shoes.
Tran Anh Tuan, deputy director of the centre, said that many companies were expanding operations as the economy continues to improve.
As of February 28, there were 2,421 newly established enterprises in the city, and more than 500 enterprises reported that they planned to increase their charter capital, according to HCM City's Statistics Office.
