A Nigerian man named Nweka Fortune Chukwuyem was discharged from the Ba Ria Hospital yesterday afternoon after he tested negative for the Ebola virus infection.

Chukwuyem left Nigeria last Saturday and stayed at the Grand Hotel in Vung Tau City after reaching Viet Nam.
The man is in stable health and has normal body temperature.
His health would be supervised for 21 days, said Nguyen Van Thai, deputy director of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Department of Health.

Chukwuyem's body temperature had earlier been checked before he left Nigeria and also on his arrival at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City.
