Le Van Son scored the only goal in Viet Nam's 1-0 win over Thailand in the second semi-final match of the ASEAN Youth Football Championship in Brunei yesterday.
Son took the ball from a narrow angle in the right wing before making the shot, which first touched three Thai players, including the goalkeeper, before swishing into the net at the 72nd minute.

The Vietnamese, who was sent in to play against the 10-man Thai team from the 51st minute, would have scored more if not for the team striker, who wasted numerous scoring opportunities in the first half.
In the first semi-final match, Myanmar defeated Malaysia 3-0. Viet Nam will play Myanmar in the final match on Saturday.
In other football news, Viet Nam pulverised hapless East Timor with a whopping 19-0 victory on the third day of the ASEAN Football Federation U19 Women's Championship at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok yesterday.
The win allowed Viet Nam to take over the lead in the standings from Thailand, who had an off-day yesterday. Viet Nam will face Thailand tomorrow. .
