Thirteen fishermen whose fishing boat capsized on Tuesday 27 nautical miles off Ke Ga in Binh Thuan Province were brought to safety yesterday.
Six other fishermen who were onboard are still missing.
The fishing boat was returning from a fishing mission in Truong Sa (Spratly) island when it capsized.
Pham Hung Tan, head of staff for the Binh Thuan Steering Committee on Flood Prevention, Search and Rescue, said initially there were 16 fishermen on the boat captained by Bui Van Toan from Phan Thiet City. Three others had joined the boat later in the trip.
