PM bids farewell to Norwegian, Saudi Arabian ambassadors

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hosted a reception in Ha Noi yesterday for the Norwegian and Saudi Arabian ambassadors, who came to say goodbye at the end of their tenures.

Receiving Stale Torstein Risa, the Norwegian Ambassador, Dung confirmed that Viet Nam would do its utmost to deepen the ties in various fields, such as politics, economics, education and science-technology, for the mutual benefit of both nations.

He hoped that the two countries would further work together at both regional and international forums, and asked Norway to continue raising its voice against China's illegal placement of the Haiyang-Shiyou 981 oil rig in Viet Nam's exclusive economic zone.

Risa told his host that there is huge potential for both countries to boost their affiliation in trade, telecom and the environment.

He thanked the Vietnamese Government for creating all possible conditions for him to fulfil his mission, while confessing that he was impressed at the country's many achievements which had raised its position in the world.

Greeting Saudi Arabian diplomat Salah A.H.Sharhan, Dung affirmed that Viet Nam was willing to create all possible conditions for Saudi Arabian firms to conduct long-term business in the country.

He called on the two nations to further cooperation in politics, foreign affairs, economics and tourism.
Ambassador Sharhan said his country always considered Viet Nam a key diplomatic partner and vowed to do its utmost to develop bilateral co-operation in all areas
