Van Mai Huong and Ho Trung Dung have won the Most Favourite Female and Male Singer awards respectively for the second consecutive time at this year's HCM City Television Awards.

Singer Van Mai Huong wins the Most Favourite Female Singer award for the second consecutive time at this year's HCM City Television Awards.
The 20-year-old singer was the runner-up at the second season of Viet Nam Idol in 2010. A year later, her first solo Neu Nhu Anh Den (If You Come), a pop song with sweet lyrics about love, became a hit among the youth.
Last year, she became the youngest artist to receive the HTV Award.
Meanwhile, Dung received 8,600 votes from his fans. The teacher-turned-singer rose to fame in 2009 when he released his debut album Hoai Niem (Nostalgia).
Since then, he has become very popular with his renditions of pop, jazz and romantic songs composed by veterans such as Viet Anh and Duc Huy.
The HTV Awards, launched by HTV and Dong Tay Promotion in 2006, awards performers who have contributed the most to the development of the channel during the year in the categories of TV series, music and theatre.
