The 18m-high Rubber Duck that has captivated people across the world is coming to Viet Nam and will be displayed in Crescent Lake in HCM City's Phu My Hung residental area from April 27 to May 31.
It measures 25m by 18m by 18m, and sits atop a giant custom-built pontoon. It is inflated by internal fans that will be connected to power sources via cables beneath the surface of the lake.

Gary Tseng, president of the Phu My Hung Corporation, told reporters yesterday: "The Rubber Duck was designed by Dutch Artist Florentijn Hofman, who launched it on a tour named Spreading Joy Around the World in 2007. Since then, the duck has been marvelled at by millions all over the globe."
"HCM City will be the 16th venue where it will be displayed," Tseng said.
Its five weeks in the city will be marked with events like photo contests, celebrity visits and others.
Of particular interest will be the creative forced-perspective photography options that will be afforded by frames located around the lake.
Its visit is sponsored by the Phu Hung Life Insurance Company and Phu My Hung Corporation.
Graeme Hannah, general director of the insurer, said: "We are a new company, and we could think of no better way to announce our launch than sponsoring the duck in Crescent Lake."
