Four Vietnamese mass organisations yesterday opposed the use of force against civilians in the Gaza Strip and urged concerned parties to immediately negotiate for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The organisations are the Viet Nam Committee for Solidarity with the Palestinian People; Viet Nam Committee for Solidarity and Cooperation with Asia, Africa and Latin America; Viet Nam Peace and Development Foundation; and Viet Nam Peace Committee.

At a meeting held for the sharing of information on the current situation in the Gaza Strip, Chairman of the four organisations Ho Anh Dung called on all parties to abide by international law and co-operate with the international community for the prompt restoration of peace and stability in the region.
Vietnamese officials who had studied and worked in the Middle East-Africa took this occasion to express profound sympathy for the suffering and losses of the people in the Gaza Strip.
Saadi Salama, Palestinian Ambassador to Viet Nam, called on the international community to provide humanitarian aid to all civilians in the Gaza Strip and support strategic efforts to achieve a long-term, equitable and peaceful resolution of the conflict.
