Food poisoning affects 200 HCM City workers

Around 200 workers at the SHIN DONG Textile Ltd Company in HCM Citys District 12, were hospitalised yesterday for food poisoning.


Until11pm, the districts General Hospital had received the workers who were showing symptoms of stomachache, vomiting and dizziness after having dinner in the late shift. The other workers who showed similar symptoms were taken to the nearby health centres.

Some of the workers said that the stir-fry vegetable dish they ate had an unusual taste, about which they informed the companys canteen. But the canteen authorities responded that the food was fine.

The case is being investigated.
